CT (Helical) - CT, CTA, Multiplanar Reconstruction

Computerized Tomography (CT) produces detailed images of the body and its internal organs. With CT, a computer translates information from X-rays into images of thin sections (slices) that give a three-dimensional view of the body. Radiologists look through a set of consecutive slices, locate a mass and estimate its dimensions. With CT scans, doctors can quickly obtain detailed information about internal structures without surgery and with little or no discomfort to you. In cases of trauma, the speed and accuracy of CT can help saves lives. CT scans can help detect disease at early stages when treatment outcomes may produce better results.

Orange County Diagnostics provides a wide range of CT services. Intravenous contrast injections will be used for scans requiring IV contrast. Some CT's will follow Myelograms when required. 3D-Reconstruction is used for certain scans when required.
