Lectures and Panel Discussions on specific topics presented
by experts in the field. These talks give participants an essential
overview of the field and of the principles of design and conduct of
high-quality clinical trials.
Small Group Discussion Sessions on special topics such as clinical
endpoints for new anticancer agents, laboratory correlates in clinical
trials, and clinical pharmacology. These sessions provide an opportunity
for the in-depth discussion of topics of special interest to clinical
investigators that address the complexities of different trial types
and present career-enhancing interactions with experts. These sessions
will be presented on Sunday and Wednesday and will be limited in size
to maximize information exchange.
Protocol Development Sessions during which each participant
develops an actual clinical trial protocol. This exercise allows students
to apply the lessons being learned in the Workshop to their own programs
and to receive detailed critiques of their protocols from experienced
scientists.
