Configuration Management, the discipline of safeguarding and controlling design changes and project impacts to achieve overall accountability, stands out as one of the chief tools used to prevent project delays and redundancy. LKG has been instrumental in developing the design review coordination process including linkage to the master schedule as well as automating the process. LKG has developed databases to track action items and has been instrumental in resolving pending action items prior to construction.

LKG-CMC, Inc. has been involved with the design and implementation of centralized document and change control systems. Document control must accommodate a variety of media developed during design and construction. In the era of high-tech applications, LKG has kept abreast of the advances in the electronic media technology available in the market place today. Our approach to control of construction and fabrication/installation documents is to maintain an accurate historical record, thereby providing valuable support and up-to-date information to engineering, construction, manufacturing, and operating agencies. The goal is to establish a program that leads to project documentation that accurately reflects the final characteristics of the project and that appropriate information will be disseminated in a controlled and timely manner.

The LKG team consists of capable professionals and technicians to provide the hands-on assistance and expertise to achieve the goals set forth by its clients.

LKG has provided a variety of program control services including scheduling, cost estimating, cost controls, document control, policies and procedures development. In addition, the firm has provided Needs Assessment studies on a variety of public works projects across the country. We have provided cost control services on projects with budgets of over $800 million using a variety of software programs. LKG has maintained project schedules for major projects using both Microsoft Project and Primavera software.
