Margo Komenar is an author, speaker, business coach, and international marketing consultant with over twenty-five years of experience in marketing, communications, media production, and product design and manufacturing. She is the author of Marketing on the Net Made Easy (Komenar Productions, 1998), Electronic Marketing (John Wiley & Sons, 1996), and co-author/editor of Going Global: Marketing and Distribution of Multimedia†(Carronade Group, 1995).

In mid-2000, Margo embarked on an extensive travel, writing and photography project that has taken her throughout the South Pacific, into Indonesia, China, Tibet and more recently to Japan. Prior to that, Margo co-founded and was the President of AdAce, Inc., an Internet advertising and business technology provider. At AdAce, Margo established strategic business development partnerships with such companies as AccuWeather, Looksmart, MapQuest and Prodigy,†procured pivotal funding partners for AdAce, and expanded the companyís new customer network.

As the International Sales Director for the worldwide distributor, Software Resource (acquired by Tech Data), she developed trading alliances with major software dealers in Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia and South America, increasing sales by over 400%. Margo was a key member of the development team to design and launch FolksOnline (www.folksonline.com), an innovative, community-oriented resource for the non-technical Internet audience. She created sponsor partnerships with Readerís Digest, American Express, Cendant Corporation and 1-800 Flowers, and subsequently became the FolksOnline Managing Editor. Margo

Other positions held include Marketing Director for a design firm, technology industry research and product agent for several clients in Asia, and Director of Content Acquisition & Licensing for MizBiz,†an online network for women entrepreneurs. Preceding her work in the software and online industries, Margo owned a successful video production company and produced award-winning corporate and educational videos, community television shows and commercials.

Margo holds a B.S. in Education from the University of Missouri, and an M.A. in Educational Technology from San Francisco State University. Additional graduate studies include the Environmental Design program at the College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, CA, and the Arts and Consciousness program at JFK University, Orinda, CA. Margo currently makes her home in Belmont, CA.
