Synopsis

Sam lies bleeding in a deserted parking lot. His glazed eyes slowly shift as he sees events from his life stumble by…

Sam Zantella (ROBERT ZAMEROSKI) is a man who has paid expensive dues in the highstakes game of trying to make a name for himself as an actor. His relentless and single-minded pursuit of this goal has left him estranged from his wife and cut off from his family.

As he waits to hear whether or not he is cast in the lead of a studio film, he scratches out a living in a grimy Los Angeles night club which is host to the toughest crowd in the city.

As his marriage dissolves, he finds solace in the company of Marcia (NICOLE EGGERT), a waitress in the club who has kicked a drug habit, but is still pursued by a violent, abusive boyfriend.

At the urging of his agent, Sam attends a party in an attempt to ingratiate himself to the producers of the film for which he is being considered. In an act of desperation, he makes a personal compromise so fundamental that, the morning after, he finds himself on his knees crying out to God for help.

In the midst of all the angst, pain and confusion, Sam finds clarity and decides to circle back to his roots and leave Hollywood. Unfortunately, the decision comes too late. The choices of his life have already set in motion events that have no regard for the sincerity of the human heart.

Those events stalk and corner him as he leaves the bar for the final time to start a new life.
