  About Saint Louis ConnectCare

Saint Louis ConnectCare treats each patient as a whole person with individual needs, linking patients with social services and providing case management. Saint Louis ConnectCare is the largest community health center in the city of St. Louis.

State money accounts for half of ConnectCare's annual budget of about $40 million. The remainder derives from insurance billings, city and county payments, and grants like one received in 2000 from the Episcopal-Presbyterian Medical Charitable Trust Fund that endowed the Dr. William E. Smiley Fund with $500,000 to offset pharmaceutical costs. ConnectCare annually spends at least $6.5 million on medicines and supplies for its patients and those from other health centers
